The Award Winning Energy Guardian Pull Down Kit eliminates energy loss through this trussed attic pull down ladder with handle, meets NEW 2009 IECC Code Requirements. Proven, superior results due to R-39 insulating value, revolutionary air seal and 20 year warranty. Frame and lid design also creates code mandated permanent retainer. Lightweight and easy to install/use. The lid is approximately 10 lbs. and the frame 5 lbs. Both can be moved when entering the attic.

More common in new construction, 2x4 support trusses extend from the floor joists to the ceiling throughout the attic. If these trusses are within six inches of the sides of the ladder entrance, you need this trussed pull down ladder kit.

Use this kit if your ladder folded in the attic is less than 7 1/2 inches, the hinge outside to outside measurement is less than 20 inches and the length and width of opening is equal to or less than 22 1/2 x 60 inches.
